Join us in celebrating Birmingham's Community!

Here are some of the activities we're planning for a great Picnic at Railroad Park:

Music: Enjoy live music at our 17th Street Plaza Stage! This year's entertainment features The Birmingham Youth & Young Adult Fellowship, semifinalist on America's Got Talent. Plus Grammy Award winner & Birmingham native Pynk Beard will be performing. Entertainment is proudly sponsored by Vulcan Materials.

Birmingham Showcase: Stroll along 1st Avenue South to shop with local merchants, artists, and organizations displaying goods and information, highlighting the diversity and variety of what Birmingham has to offer. You'll find apparel, jewelry, home decor, art, candles, and more! The Birmingham Showcase is sponsored by Macknally Land Design.

Reserved Picnics: Join us at the Piggly Wiggly VIP Plaza by purchasing a picnic lunch in support of Railroad Park. Located on a picturesque section of Regions Bank 17th Street Plaza this area includes shaded seating, complimentary boxed lunches from Jim 'N Nick's, complimentary non-alcoholic drinks from Birmingham Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and other amenities. Reservations closed on September 18.

99 Neighborhood Celebration: We are excited to recognize Birmingham's 99 neighborhoods and the officers that serve our communities. Please join us at the Main Stage at 3 p.m. as we honor our distinguished guests in attendance. Sponsored by PNC.

Lawn Games/ Children's Activities: A children's area will be filled with fun lawn games to keep the entire family engaged. Games will include Giant Connect-Four, Giant Checkers, Beanbag toss and more! This area is proudly sponsored by Regions Bank.

Food Truck Row: What's a picnic without food? While you are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy, we'll have some of Birmingham's best food trucks offering yummy options to satisfy your appetite. Who's ready for some Eugene's Hot Chicken or a Travis Chicago Style Burger? This area is proudly sponsored by ProAssurance. NOTE: Cooler and bag checks will be implemented. Glass and outside alcohol violate Railroad Park Rules. We'll have bars set up to purchase adult beverages for your convenience.

Whether you decide to make a donation, purchase a picnic or participate in free activities, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating. We’d love for you to be a part of this event.
